Rihati Utility Services is proud to have played a major role in the successful completion of a key reservoir as part of the Mogalakwena Bulk Water Supply project in Limpopo. The project was designed to deliver reliable water to 38 villages and over 66,000 households across the Mogalakwena Local Municipality. The reservoir was completed in June 2024, while the boreholes responsible for pumping water into the reservoir were finalised in December 2025. With these critical components now in place, the bulk water supply system is ready to serve thousands of residents who have long awaited improved access to clean water.
Water is fundamental to life, health, education, and economic growth. In rural Limpopo, where service delivery challenges have persisted for years, the successful completion of this infrastructure project represents a significant achievement in bridging the gap between community needs and government targets. Rihati Site Manager Mojafela Kingdom Moabi said: “We are happy to contribute in ensuring that Mogalakwena Local Municipality provides water to 38 villages.” Reliable water supply not only enhances living standards but also supports agriculture, reduces health risks, and contributes to long-term community stability.
Project Manager Nkululeko Mkhuba added: “Rihati prides itself in helping local communities meet their service delivery targets and contributes in nation-building. At Rihati, we are not just mere service providers but we are a bigger part of the communities we serve. In our little corner, we work towards building an empowered South Africa.” The successful completion of the Mogalakwena reservoir stands as a testament to the company’s expertise, reliability, and deep sense of responsibility towards the communities it serves. As a committed local partner, Rihati Utility Services remains dedicated to delivering quality infrastructure that makes a real difference in the lives of South Africans.
